Cambridge Travel and Tourism
This course is 16 weeks long and is recommended to be taken fully. Once students reach B1 level, they can register for this late afternoon course. This is more than English for Travel, more than a language course. It is an introduction to the field of Travel and Tourism at the level taught in junior colleges in Quebec.
The Cambridge T&T choice
Our Travel and Tourism course uses the Cambridge International curriculum and course materials. Students work with the AS/A-level Business coursebook and can register as independent students to take the Cambridge A-level examination. Together with the A-level English (our Intensive English C1-level) and the Cambridge International Business course, students can take 3 A-level Cambridge examinations and once they obtain their certificates, they can apply to universities all over the world.
The ULC expertise
Choosing the Cambridge International Travel and Tourism curriculum, taught across the world in high schools and in many language centres, instead of any other course material, makes our school stand out. This curriculum is taught in British programs on all continents and has been universally recognized for its outstanding quality. Our students can register and sit the A-level exams as independent students in their home countries or in Canada. With these certifications, students can apply to universities, complete their gap year, or add to their 11-year general education diploma. The ULC academic team has taught in the Cambridge system and has extensive knowledge on how to teach the content for best results.
This program consists of 18 periods per week (12 hours) and it is recommended to learners who want to study Tourism in college or university. It is also beneficial to international students who have already their Tourism or Business degrees from their home countries but who need to be able to work in English in a business environment. This is an intensive program that requires hard work. Students will build their vocabulary, their presentation skills, critical thinking skills as well as their academic reading and writing. They will be tested with past papers that Cambridge International used to assess students in previous years. Please, see the price list for this and other courses here.
