Our Unique Course Offer
General English Program
This course on 6 levels (A1, A2, B1, B1+,B2,C1 CEF) prepares you to use English in real-life situations outside of the classroom. This course aims to improve your communication skills, tour fluency by introducing a range of interesting and relevant topics with each new unit.
Course schedule: Mon-Thu
Periods per week: 20
English for College & University
This course starts in level 2 (A2 level CEF) and it is ideal for students who are looking to continue their studies in college or university. Levels B1 and B1+ cover the Cambridge IGCSE English curriculum. Levels B2 and C1 cover the Cambridge A-level English curriculum and it is 8 weeks long.
Course schedule: Mon-Thu

IELTS Preparation Full-time Program
The IELTS Preparation course is an intensive course open to students in levels B1, B1+, B2, C1. The full course has four sessions, each session is four weeks. Students can register for one or more sessions or take the full 16 weeks course to reach the level they need. They will be tested with full exams.

Cambridge Business
This course on 6 levels a Business course based on the Cambridge A-level curriculum and coursebook. It introduces students to the world of Business while pushing them to improve their English-language skills in a business context. It is open to students in level B1 and higher. Students need to complete the full course to obtain the ULC certificate.

Cambridge Travel and Tourism
This 16-week course is an introduction to Travel and Tourism. The course is based on the Cambridge A-level curriculum and coursebook. It introduces students to the world of Travel while pushing them to improve their English-language skills in a tourism context. Level B1 and higher. Students need to complete the full course to obtain the ULC certificate.

Universitas Press Certificate in Book Publishing
This is a unique in-house course, developed and taught by the editors of Universitas Press. It introduces students to the world of publishing, from setting up a press to print, distribution, marketing, editing and proofreading. It is open to local as well as international students, level B1 and higher. The course is 45 hrs over 15 weeks.
Course schedule: Friday (afternoon)
Schedule: 3 hours per week.
Private & online classes
Whether you’re preparing for a language exam, you want to improve your English-language skills, or you need help with Business or Travel &Tourism, adding private lessons to your schedule is a great way to make progress quickly. Students who supplement their core course with 1-1 lessons benefit from personalized instruction. The Head Teacher will make sure classes are structured to suit your needs. Group online classes are also possible, including Cambridge courses.

Survival French classes
The Survival French course is an introduction to French language and Quebec culture and it is open to students in all levels. Each class has a distinct topic that will help you feel at home in Montreal. It is a free course where you can decide which topics are of interest to you. All you need to do is sign up for the weekly class by Monday at lunch-time. Unlimited seating, so bring your friends with you and try out some French! All levels are welcome.

Cambridge Group classes
Cambridge group classes can be organized on demand for IGCSE and AS/A-level English Business, Travel and Tourism. Qualified teachers with Cambridge teaching experience will be teaching groups of minimum 15 students. The number of hours and the curriculum is in line with the Cambridge high school recommendations for each subject. Past papers are used to test students on their mastery of the content. General information
Student accommodation
ULC has partnerships with providers of student housing right here in the city. Students can contact us in advance (the sooner the better), and we will reserve rooms as needed.
The evo residence is a state-of-the-art student residence with all modern amenities, in close proximity to the campus.


School calendar
ULC opens the first classes on May 9 2022. Sessions run 4 weeks long and without breaks between them. The centre is open all year round, with the exception of the last two weeks of the year, when it closes for the winter holidays. New session starts January 2nd 2023.
Classes are offered Monday to Thursday, morning and afternoon, depending on the number of periods of the program(s) a student is enrolled in.
Welcome sessions, including oral placement test are on Friday, before the start of each session. Students who start in week 2 or 3 of the session, should come to school to complete their enrollment on the Friday before their start date.
